Instagram has announced the addition of two new features to the site. The tools are mostly geared toward creators who use the Live feature. Creators will be able to schedule their Live sessions up to 90 days in advance and will be able to spread the word through posts and stories.
- Features: Creators throughout the world will be able to use Instagram’s new Live Scheduling function, according to the company. Following the scheduling of their next Live video, they’ll be able to share that content with their followers immediately through their Stories and Feed posts. It’s also getting ready to launch a new feature dubbed “Practice Mode,” which will allow creators to join their guests ahead of time to test their connection, lighting, and any other pre-show preparation that may be required.
- Redesign: Instagram, on the other hand, has just redesigned its video approach. It announced earlier this month that it was abandoning the “IGTV” name in favor of combining long-form video with Feed video. It redesigned the IGTV app as part of this endeavor, and it will now be the home for all Instagram videos, including Lives, with the exception of Reels.
- Reels: Reels, on the other hand, remains a prominent feature of the main Instagram app, with access through the center button, user profiles, Explore, and — most recently, we confirmed — hashtag pages. Global users will be able to access Live Scheduling starting today. Practice Mode will be available “soon,” according to the business.
- Assist: Both tools are designed to assist live creators with their demands. Creators who frequently live stream will be able to generate excitement for upcoming live content by arranging it up to 90 days ahead of time.
- Distribution: This would give them plenty of time to distribute the material not only on Instagram but also on other sites. Users can, on the other hand, create a reminder for the specific date so they don’t miss their favorite Instagram account’s live stream.
